The urban-planning progress of Meta’s project in Talavera de la Reina is not yet an operating data centre, but it is a relevant signal about the infrastructure required by the digital economy. A data centre is not evaluated only by the number of servers it can host. It needs redundant connectivity, stable power, cooling systems, physical security and procedures for uninterrupted operation. Each layer affects the ability to deliver web and AI services predictably.
